What To Do Until You Arrive

General Emergency: Stay calm and call us. If it’s life-threatening, call 911.

Knocked-Out Tooth: Gently pick up by the crown. If possible, try to reinsert it within 30 minutes. If not, keep it in milk or saline solution and get to our office ASAP.

Cracked or Broken Tooth: Rinse gently with lukewarm water. Avoid extreme temperatures.

Sudden/Severe Toothache: Apply a cold compress to your cheek. Over-the-counter pain relievers can offer temporary relief.

Loose/Lost Filling or Crown: Rinse your mouth with lukewarm water or saline. If you have the crown/filling, bring it with you.

Abscess: Seek immediate dental or emergency room care. Rinse with lukewarm saltwater and use OTC pain relievers.

Even if you’re not sure if your situation counts as an emergency, call us. We can still give you advice over the phone to manage discomfort and ease your mind. If you can’t reach us for whatever reason, call the emergency line for the nearest hospital.

What To Bring With You To Your Appointment

  • Identification and Insurance Information: Bring your driver’s license or ID card, and if you have dental insurance, bring your insurance card as well. This will help our team process your information as quickly as possible.
  • Payment Method: Be prepared to pay for your visit. While you can discuss payment options with the office in advance, it’s good to have a credit card or debit card handy.
  • Medication List (Optional): If you’re currently taking any medications for pain management or chronic medication, bring a list with the names and dosages. This information can be helpful for your dentist to determine if there are any interactions with potential emergency dental treatments.
  • Dislodged Tooth or Filling (If Applicable): In case of a knocked-out tooth, a chipped tooth fragment, or a dislodged filling, bring the piece with you. If possible, store the tooth in milk or a saline solution to improve the chances of reattachment.
  • X-rays (If Available): Bring along recent X-rays if you have them on hand.

Dr. Fritz and her staff are excellent! Dr. Fritz gave me two fillings and they are so perfect you can't even see them. The dental hygienist is excellent as well – very gentle, thorough, and great results. She and her staff are very caring & professional. 10 out of 10 I do recommend!

I often get anxious before dentist appointments but this office was incredible. From beginning to finish everyone was friendly and professional. I was offered blankets, headphones and sunglasses to help me have a more pleasant experience. I love the way the Dr. explained why he was recommended what I needed and took his time to be thorough. So glad to have found this place.
